Attending a Workshop at AuthenticSFContents Address: 115 10th St, SF, CA 94103. (Between Mission St and Howard St, closer to Mission). The sign on the door says AuthenticSF. We are in between a sign and banner shop and a moped store. We will be on the left side of the street if you are driving down 10th , which is one way. Here is a map of the area with hotels and restaurants: http://www.authenticsf.com/maps/ We are a 5-minute walk from the Civic Center BART station (subway). Here's a map: http://www.bart.gov/stations/stationGuide/localAreaMap_CIVIC.asp From the East Bay: From the South Bay: From the North Bay: Free parking on the street will be readily available on Sunday, but it's mainly metered parking on Friday and Saturday, which will not work for you. Your best bet for Friday and Saturday is to park in the large USP parking lot, half a block away on 10th St, between Market and Mission. It costs $11 dollars for the whole day. There is another parking lot on the corner of 10th and Mission, but it closes at 6 PM. If you park at the 10th and Mission lot, ask the attendant if you can keep your keys and come back for your car at the end of the night. If he says you have to come back and move your car by 6, we'll make sure we take a break so you can move your car in time. You can move your car to the street for free after 6 PM. Note: Although the course takes place in a relatively safe neighborhood, car break ins do occur when you are parked on the street. The best way to avoid this is to not leave anything visible in your car that someone would want to steal. We recommend that you fly into SFO, San Francisco International Airport. You can also fly into Oakland International Airport (OAK), but it is a little farther away. A number of shared shuttle services are available from the airport. They provide door-to-door service for about $20-30 a person. You may have another stop before your own. Reservations are required - call them a day or two before your arrival. Hotels within Walking Distance 1 block away: Rodeway Inn 3 blocks away: Hotel Whitcomb Holiday Inn SF-Civic Center Best Western Carriage Inn - San Francisco, CA 4 blocks away and expensive: Best Western Civic Center Best Western Americana If none of these suit your fancy, we suggest you look for hotels in the Union Square area. They're all really nice (but pricey) and a 5 min cab ride away. Note: Generally, this is safe neighborhood to be walking around in, however, like any big city, you will be taking some risk walking alone back to your hotel after we complete each night. |
"Wow! I am awed at the level of intention and perceptiveness you all bring to coaching. I could not have truly gotten what Ive learned had you just talked to me about it. By so artfully supporting me in discovering it for myself, in each moment of each session, youve benefited my life and the lives of my students profoundly." -- KR, High School Teacher |
